2025 was a year full of historic achievements and numerous firsts. We extend special thanks to Swedbank for their \u20ac10 million philanthropic contribution. The named \u2018Swedbank Sub-Fund for the Promotion of Sustainable, Long-Term Country Advancement\u2019 is a historic investment in knowledge, innovation, and Lithuania\u2019s future.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This year, for the first time, we presented named awards and scholarships honoring Angel\u0117 and Sigitas Kazlauskas, Prof. Algis Petras Piskarskas, Prof. Jonas Kazlauskas, and Mantvydas Juozapavi\u010dius<\/strong>. Using investment returns and targeted support, we funded talented researchers, exciting studies, and community initiatives. Since 2018, funding allocated to Vilnius University has exceeded \u20ac2.1 million<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In 2025 alone, we received \u20ac11.4 million in support<\/strong>, of which \u20ac10.8 million<\/strong> was allocated by donors to the endowment fund and its sub-funds, and the remaining \u20ac0.6 million<\/strong> to targeted projects and Foundation development. This year, the Foundation was supported over 1,100 times<\/strong>. Behind every euro of support stands a generous community of people who believe in the power of education and science. We are deeply grateful to you.<\/p>\n

Thanks to your support, Vilnius University continues to thrive, create new opportunities, inspire talent, and shape a brighter future for Lithuania. We are thankful for an exceptionally successful year. May 2026 bring joy, togetherness, and philanthropic spirit!<\/strong><\/p>\n
