Q4 2024 Results: Double-Digit Returns and a Nearly €10M Portfolio
The Vilnius University (VU) Foundation announces preliminary Q4 2024 investment management results. According to VU Foundation CEO Justinas Noreika, the results are expected to be updated, likely in a more favorable direction, following the review of Q4 valuations for many private market funds classified as alternative investments—a process that typically takes several months.
In the fourth quarter of the year, the Foundation’s value preliminarily reached €9.45 million. Since January 2019, the portfolio's investment management result amounts to €1.42 million.
"We are pleased that 2024 was a successful year for the VU Foundation, both in attracting new donor funds and in achieving significant returns on the foundation‘s capital through investment management activities. By maintaining all equity positions since the beginning of the year and continuously adding equities with new donor contributions, we capitalized on the strong growth in the stock market, particularly in the technology sector", says Alius Jakubėlis, Chairman of the Investment Board.
