Investment management results for Q4, 2023
The VU endowment fund announces its investment management results for Q4, 2023. At the end of 2023, the endowment managed by VU Foundation (3.58 million Euros) was valued at 4.2 million Euros, with an investment return of +9.6%. Over the past year, investment management yielded a growth of 0.3 million Euros, and with the addition of new contributions from sponsors, the portfolio grew by a total of about 1 million Euros.
"During the stock rally in the fourth quarter of 2023, the stock market demonstrated the best performance among the majority of asset classes for the year. Our fund’s core investment thesis of “stay invested” proved itself, reflecting in the annual fund results. Key questions arising in the new year include whether the U.S. stock market will continue to be the primary flagship, the ongoing developments in military conflicts, and the impact of upcoming elections in various regions on the markets", says Alius Jakubėlis, Chairman of the Investment Board.
